Located outside of Terrace, Northern Escape Mountain Lodge is your gateway to bucket list heli fishing on tributaries along the Skeena and Copper rivers. With a birds-eye view above dense hemlock and cedar forest, you’ll see streams literally boiling with migrating fish: pink salmon, coho, and if you’re lucky steelhead. Experienced guides will help with the rods, and provide tips so that you’ll be able to cast, reel and spey like a pro. It’s all catch and release, and there will be a lot of catching and releasing! Getting There: Terrace BC is served by several daily direct flights from Vancouver. Northern Escapes meets you at the Terrace Airport for a short 45 min shuttle to the Mountain Lodge. For an additional fee, we can arrange a helicopter flight through the spectacular Skeena Mountains directly to the Lodge’s doorstep.
Note from Robin: There’s a lot more to do at the lodge other than just heli-fishing. It’s your launch-pad for a bucket list jet boat ride along the Skeena, visiting abandoned mining ghost towns, e-biking forest trails, and all-round BC wilderness adventure. During winter, the 10-room lodge becomes a base for one of the world’s very best heli-ski operations, with snow-cats ready to go on bad weather days. Summer or winter, you’re in very good hands.
