Banff National Park, the oldest national park in Canada, has three excellent ski resorts. Whether you’re enjoying the views of Lake Louise, the poweder of Sunshine or the intimacy of Norquay, you’re in for a treat. It’s also the only place in the world to easily ski in World Heritage Site.

One ticket serves all 3 ski areas in the Banff National Park (that’s 8000 acres of skiable terrain). The tri-area lift ticket includes:

  •  Skiing and riding at Mt. Norquay, the Lake Louise Ski Area and Sunshine Village.
  •  Night skiing and riding from January to March at Mt.
  •  Norquay
  •  Transportation from Banff-Lake

Best time to go : Ski Season is typically November to April. Of course, that only makes way for the spectacular summer season when you can swap out your skis for hiking boots.

Wheelchair friendly : Some natural assets and viewpoints in Banff National Park can be reached by car, and many of the more popular attractions offer paved, wheelchair-friendly pathways to the door.

Note from Robin : The three ski resorts in Banff National Park all have something to offer. Take a week to spend a couple days in Banff, a couple days in Lake Louise, and at least one night at the mountain lodge atop Sunshine. Don’t forget to get your park permit when you enter Banff National Park, and watch out for the elk!
