You can taste PEI long before you step foot on the island, for its mussels, oysters and most of all lobsters are prize items on restaurant menus across North America. Oysters don’t come fresher or tastier than when you tong and shuck them yourself right on the boat. This experience will not only teach you how, it will give you a new appreciation for the art and enjoyment of nature’s aphrodisiac.

Note from Robin :
I usually take my oysters with a dash of lemon and drop of Tabasco. Here I learned that neither are needed. You can actually start tasting the difference between coves around the island. It’s worth learning how to shuck an oyster before trying it (much less blood that way).
