The region is accessed from either Montreal or Quebec, where you can rent a vehicle if flying in.
Note from Robin:
This is warm lake country, and the beaches invite a summer swim. English is not widely spoken outside of the tourist attractions and accommodations, which adds to the appeal! The roads can be a little bumpy. You’ll need a Park Permit to visit La Mauricie National Park, where the view from Belvédère du Passage and Lac Édouard are must-stops if driving through. There are EV chargers throughout the region (Quebec has more EV chargers than any other province).
