Hotel de Glace

Sleep in an Ice Hotel

Located near Quebec City, the Hotel de Glace is open from early January until late-March. There are 36 rooms and theme suites in the ice hotel, with access to outdoor spas. While adults can enjoy the music and drinks (served in an ice glass) in the literally cool Ice Bar, kids can enjoy an ice-rink and ice-slide. Every year, 500 tons and 15,000 tons of snow are used to create the hotel, with a new design and theme every year. The result is right out of a fairytale, and a true wonder of the Canadian winter.

Note from Robin : Bundle up folks, it’s going to be cold. You’ll definitely want to warm up before you go to bed in the hot tubs and sauna. I’d advise against drinking too much liquid because you really don’t want to use the loo in the middle of the night. Think of it as an adventure, for that is what it is.
