An outdoor resort called Au Diable Vert offers the world’s highest suspended bicycle ride, the Velo Volant. Watch the ground disappear beneath your feet as you peddle off the platform connected to a kilometre-long cable that suspends you up to thirty metres above the ground. Think less zipline or roller coaster, and more gentle peddle across ravines and waterfalls, and through forests of maple and pine.

Getting There : Au Diable Vert is located about a 90 minutes drive from Montreal. Follow Autoroute 10 E to Pierre Laporte Rd in Bromont. Take exit 74 from Autoroute 10 E. Continue on Pierre Laporte Rd. Take QC-241 S, QC-139 S and Scenic Rd Way to Staines Way in Sutton.

Note from Robin : You must wear fully enclosed and comfortable sporting or hiking shoes. It can be get cool in the tree canopy so wear layers. Velo Volant operates in all weather. Up to fifteen riders are spaced out on the circuit, so take your time or you’ll just end up getting stuck behind the slower guys in front of you.
