Salute the RCMP

After learning about the history of the Red Serge in the RCMP Heritage Centre, head into the Depot grounds to view the Sergeant Major’s Parade, where new recruits are inspected and roll call taken. During several dates over the summer, visitors are also invited to attend the Sunset-Retreat Ceremony, which includes troop marches and drills, military music, the lowering of the flag, and the opportunity to meet mounted riders.

Best time to go : The museum is open year-round. Sergeant-Major Parades take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The Sunset-Retreat Ceremony takes place on various dates throughout the summer.
