Getting There : It’s a scenic, five-hour drive from Vancouver, or can be reached via Calgary, Jasper, or Kamloops Airport. Point your GPS towards Clinton. From there, turn off Highway 97 at the Round-Up Motel onto Kelly Lake Road (sign posted as Clinton-Pavilion Road). Proceed along Kelly Lake Road for about 17 km. Turn right at Jesmond Road (there’s an Echo Valley sign) and continue for 33 km to the ranch entrance on the left (there will be another sign). Turn left at the sign, follow the gravel road to the ranch. Travel time from Clinton is less than one hour.

Note from Robin : Although there’s free wifi, there is no cell service, and that’s a good thing. This is the kind of place where you want to take a digital detox. There’s activities for all fitness levels, and the spa is fantastic. Whatever you do, don’t pass up on the opportunity to go flightseeing with Norm. His enthusiasm for the area is infectious and the views are as good as the Rockies!
